To Send Her to The 2nd International Piano Festival by People with Disabilities
Saturday, July 18, 2009 from 7:30 – 9:30 pm
Suggested Donation $20

CRS Artist-in-Residence Mana Hashimoto has been invited to perform in the opening ceremonies of The 2nd International Piano Festival by People with Disabilities, to be held in Vancouver September 30 – October 4, 2009. Modeled after the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympic Games, the event will be held in the large, beautiful Chan Centre for the Performing Arts and will feature artists from around the world in order to raise awareness of the festival and the gifts of the festival's many participants.

In order to enable Ms. Hashimoto's participation, CRS invites you to join us for a benefit reception and concert on Saturday, July 19, 2009 to raise the funds to pay for her transportation to Vancouver. Donating performances at the benefit will be choreographer Marijke Eliasberg, musician Sakai Masafumi, and singers Linnette and Maria. Ms.Hashimoto will also show her dance/video piece Journey and a short new work-in-progress. Complimentary wine and gifts will be available, courtesy of Laurence Singer of Spherical Media Group.

Financial and in-kind contributions to the Center for Remembering & Sharing, earmarked for Ms. Hashimoto, are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
